Monday, March 15, 2010 @ 11:21 PM I am sure most people would know what this means :  Its the most general and common gesture for "Fuck You" But do you know that there are various other gestures that might equate to giving someone the finger? Some people don't realize that their gesture may mean something else in other countries/culture! For example.. Recently I saw this : sorry Mini sayaaang *hugs* The Palm-Back V   My sayang Mini here was doing the peace sign backwards. What she doesn't know is that in other countries such as Italy and France, it means "up yours" or "fuck off"  This particular football player got into trouble when he kept hisgesture throughout the entire game. Here are some of the list of obscene gestures that I found! Concha  In the Indian culture it means "what do you want to eat?" In Italian it means "what the f***" and in Chile it means "Concha de tu madre" which means "your mama's dried up, nasty cooch". OK Sign  The OK sign which is commonly known for "alright" or "well done" or "got it". In Brazil or some European countries, the "O" represents the anus of the recipient, which means you're calling the person an asshole. Unless that is your intention, then I'm sure you'll get your message across. Thumbs Up  In certain countries, you use thumbs up indicating "good job" or for "hitchhiking". But in certain countries, thumbs up is considered an obscene gesture. This gesture invites the recipient to "sit on my erect penis". Closed Fist  Which also means "up your ass". LOL.So be careful with your gestures sometimes because you may not know who is around you! :) |
